Am I the only one?

You know I adore my children. But some days it seems like I am chasing after and cleaning up after a bunch of PIGS. I fix breakfast only for Sam not to eat and as soon as we start school he is interupting wanting a snack. I finish a morning of schooling Hamilton to find the rest of my house has been completely destroyed....rooms a mess, drinks spilt all over the floor, a pile of sand at my back door (Sam said he liked to play trains in the sand but it was too hot outside, so he decided to bring the sand inside). Clean up the morning mess only to fix lunch and leave to do some laundry only to find nuggets, fries, and ketchup all over the floor and rug. We all sit down for a heart to heart. "Mommy is going crazy. Ya'll have to help me out alittle." I think they get it. They begin to pick up their mess in the kitchen and put their toys away from my bedroom, kitchen, living, and dining room. I think this is managable. I put Jack to sleep while the boys are suppose to be watching cartoons. I come out of Jacks room only to find the couch cushions in the middle of the floor and they are making towers with them. Everyone finally rest, not sleeps but does rest. The house gets a much needed break.

Everyones up and ready for another snack which ofcoarse will destroy my kitchen. The fighting and wrestling continues. We are still not finished with school. Finally regroup to finish our science and history and Samuel begins to scream. Jack had pulled up a chair to the kitchen counter and gotten a pair of kitchen scissors and was chasing Samuel into his room. Hamilton and I are interupted once again. Mommy screams, beats children, and tries once again to finish up school. I get Hamilton started on a project and leave to finish up cooking dinner. He comes in crying saying he can't do it all by himself!!! Could this all really happen in a day? I think it just didn't.

For now, the children have been banished to the yard. Literally my first second of peace and quite. I had to vent. I read so many blogs and all of you seem to have it together. Am I abnormal or just not up to the task? Not sure yet. Maybe it is just that I have 3 boys 5 years old and younger and I don't believe in "preschool" or shipping your kids off at the age of 3 or 4 so mommy can get a break. Maybe Mommy really does need a break. Praise God. I hear the garage door openning. DADDY'S HOME!!! My relief is here.

I love these boys!!!!! This has become their favorite song. We got this CD as a party favor this weekend and the rest is history. I think they are going to blow out the speakers on my BOSE. It just keeps getting louder and louder. I must say Mommy likes it too!!!

First Week of Homeschooling!!!

Our first day of School!!!! Hamilton is building his Spelling words with letter blocks!!
Hamilton writing his words on a wipe board. All of this practice paid off because he got every word right on his spelling quiz today......even blast off.
Working on Language Arts.
Looking for Tornado Alley.
Jack loves to join in. He will probably be reading by 3. He is a nerd like is oldest brother. Notice Sam is nowhere to be found.

The boys and I have had an amazing week. Hamilton and I began school this week. We use Sonlight and were so excited about getting started. I have to admit I was a little nervous because I do have two other boys in the house. And they are both needy children. Kris and I made a big deal over the weekend about Hamilton starting school. He was so excited by Sunday evening he could hardly wait. Monday went incredible. We start off saying the pledge and holding hands and praying for God to bless our day. Then we do Spelling, Reading, Language, Critical Thinking, Math, History, and Science. In the evening He is reading Chapter books with Kris. This is all part of his Sonlight material. I loved Sonlight before this week, but after this week I love it even more.

In his History this week we studied about a missionary to China. We mapped her journey from London to China, talked about the Chinese government, foot binding, their culture. They Olympics of coarse are on so he has been fascinated that they are taking place in China.

Homeschooling just offers learning 24/7. Hamilton never stops learning something new.....from sun up to sun down. And Remember he is ONLY 5. I am so glad God has given me this incredible opportunity with my boys. They will be the worlds oh too soon. Right now they are mine. By the time they fly my nest, I hope they are equipped enough spiritually, emotionally, and mentally to be successful regardless of what they want to do. But at the tender age of 5 they are not ready for that world yet.

Enjoy the pictures. They were taken Monday....our first day of school.

Stacey's Business Adventure Update!!!!

As you know, I started selling Premier Jewelry about a month ago. Two of my dear friends from chuch hosted a party on Monday night. They floored me. They had around 25 people and retail sales from the party ended up around $1,800. Premier is soooooo good to their hostesses. They each ended up with over $500 dollars in free jewelry. I feel like they helped me out and I helped them out. I also booked 3 shows from their party. God is so good. He is an awesome provider. I cannot believe how much fun I am having and how much friends and family are so willing to support me. I am having a BALL!!!!!!
