Jack's 4th of July Party!!!!!!

We celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday at my parents house on the 4th. We all had a blast. Both of my sisters were able to come with their families. It is so much fun all being together. The boys loved being with their cousins. We swam, at pizza, played games, ate cake, opened presents, rode the go cart, and shot fireworks to end the day. A huge thanks to my precious parents who worked so hard to get everything in place for the party. A house full of kids, son in laws, and grandchildren was such a treat to them even though it got a little crazy at times!!!

Bunnies, Kittens, Birds, Hermit Crabs, Birds, Dogs.....

I feel like we live at the zoo. We have a German Shepherd, a parakeet, and a fish. Plenty of animals to take care of. Our neighbors left for vacation a few days ago and asked us to watch after their hermit crab, bunny, and kitten. I really didn't mind until I went to feed them and the kitten was in a small CAGE outside. Who in the world has ever heard of keeping cats in cages? The cute bunny was in a cat carrier. I mean so small it could hardly turn around. They were both covered in poop. It really broke my heart. Our neighbors are famous for animal abuse. They get a dog, it runs away, and and they go out and within days and get another one. Then they just neglect that one until it is smart enough to leave and it happens all over again. So anyway, the animals really broke my heart. So Hamilton and I cleaned them up and the bunny is currently living in our utility room and the kitten comes over every afternoon to play. We have been getting the bunny out and letting it run around the backyard. Too cute. It will literally follow you around, lay on your feet, and crawl up in your lap. So today I was curious about how the kitten and the bunny would feel about each other. Let me tell you it was the most precious thing in the world. So now our new request from Daddy is a bunny and kitten. It really has been fun and super entertainment for the boys.

Our Home School Room

What a mess!! I got a wild hair last week and decided that Hamilton and I, on our own, could rearrange rooms in preperation for our home school classroom. Our mission was to move Samuel out of his room, (the room you see below) into Jack old room ( the 3rd picture), and to move Jack and Hamilton into Hamilton's old room ( the last picture). We made a mess to say the least. Once we started, I realized how much STUFF the boys had. .......toys, clothes, books, junk. So it ended up being a sort and clean out week. After a few days of very hard work, everyone made it to their new location. Now, I think I have changed my mind. I drive Kris crazy sometime (probably all the time). Hamilton has gone from a queen size bed to the top bunk. He has not complained, but he is not sleeping as well. He also misses having HIS room. Being the oldest sometimes he just wants to get away from his brothers. So who knows what we will end up doing. I love the last picture. Jack would climb the bed and slide down. He cried when we set the bed back up!

Our backyard water slide!!!
My parents purchased this last summer for Eli's birthday. Because of the watering restrictions at Jennifer's, we ended up with it. The boys love it and it really is a great way to stay cool when it is 95 degrees outside.

Unique Jewelry

I found this site today with this really cool, unique, handmade jewelry. I love jewelry and this really caught my eye. I think they would make precious sentimental pieces with your kids name on them. If hubby will let me, I'm ordering.

Happy Anniversary!!!

May 19th was Kris and I's 8th anniversary. I really cannot believe we have been married 8 years. We started dating when I was 15 years old. We dated on and off until we married. I can honestly say when I married Kris, I married my best friend. I love him so much more today than the day we married. Thank you Kris for a wonderful 8 years. I look forward to many many more.
