Happy 11th Anniversary
Today is our 11th anniversary. Since we have ball games tonight, we celebrated last night. I planed an evening at home for us and enlisted the boys to help. I turned our dining room into a romantic restaurant and and let the boys be our waiters. We had the best time and the boys did a fantastic job. They really played the part.

The table was set with a table cloth from our rehearsal dinner that all of our guest wrote messages on and signed. It was so much fun to read what everyone had written 11 years ago.

I even used leftover napkins from our wedding.

Beginning our evening. He looks exhausted and we are only on our salad.

Our three cute servers. I put a sheet up so they could go in and out of the kitchen without us seeing what was going on. I dressed them in khaki and white They all three could get jobs at outback. Sam even came out and asked "would you like to talk a few more minutes or are you ready for your meal". They were so sweet and just made our evening so special.

I had no idea when I married Kris that 11 years later I would love him so much more. We have an amazing life together. He truly is my best friend and I just love being with him. He is such a hard worker, amazing provider, and awesome dad. I'm so glad he choose me. Being his wife just keeps getting better.

Sam heard a song he like and busted through the curtain dancing. It was quite enjoyable until head cook Hamilton noticed he was missing and pulled him back to the kitchen.

What a fun night. I love my boys for working so hard to make it memorable evening.

Benzell's Home
This is Benzell's neighborhood. We had multiple other families we ministered to in this neighborhood loose their homes.

Benzell spent the weekend in our home. We had a blast. After church today, he asked if I would take him to his old house. Even though it was blocked off, the guard was kind enough to let us in. I think it was really good for Benzell.

Benzell climbing out if his bedroom window with a book and a few dvd's he found. Seeing him search for his treasures was heartbreaking.

What a surviver!!!

Bless his heart, he is still searching for something that belongs to him.

We had such a fun weekend. I hope that being in our home offered Benzell a "vacation" from the horrible reality of his circumstances. He told me today that he knew God had saved him and he knew God had big plans for him. It was so so hard to drop him off this evening. He wanted to stay. He even told me the school bus would come to my house post tornado to pick him up. Please join with me in praying for the salvation of the precious boy. I am just so grateful our paths have crossed. Our family has fallen in love with him.

New shoes
We took Benzell to academy Friday night to purchase a new pair of shoes. Of coarse, he picked a pair of shaq's. His excitement was priceless, and he was so grateful. His smile says it all. I am do so thankful our paths have crossed. What a joy it is to minister to Benzell.

Thank you
Thank you so much to Luke 4:18 in Mobile for helping sponsor sweet Benzell's family. Benzell has been apart of our church since VBS last summer. He has spent time in our home, and my boys consider him a dear friend. Benzell's home was destroyed by the tornado two weeks ago. He an his family lost everything. Benzell and his two brothers all had head injuries from the tornado. And let me tell you, Benzell has an amazing story to tell. These pictures are of Benzell yesterday at our home. It amazes me after all he has been through, he still has so much joy in his heart. I am thrilled God has provided a way for our family to help meet some if the needs Benzell and his family now have.

Tuscaloosa Tornado

Well this week has been hard to say the least. I have been very sick. I had to have a DNC Tuesday, got severe infection, ran 104 fever, almost got put in hospital, had to send kids to my parents in Mobile I felt so bad, and a tornado plowed though my town destroying my church and the community that I love. I have bascily spent the week crying, watching the news, and trying to rest per doctors instruction. The the pictures are hard to look at. Many kids we ministered to through chruch lost their homes. Actually all but one family. My heart breaks. I feel bad that I am sitting in a nice home, with air condition, food, tv, cell phone, etc. when so many people are suffering. Here are a few pictures of my church. I think it would have been easier to see my home destroyed than my church. Yes, I know the church is not a building, it's the people but it is still hard to see a place I love so much destroyed.
